Found out the hardway yesterday that my new to me tundra is easy to break into, pro job at a popular trailhead, they came in with a slim-jim through the drivers door, checked the console and glovebox and made off with my ipod and droid phone that were out of sight in the console. Luckily the GPS was left behind.
Anyone know of an easy way to make a small lockbox for a gps and ipod to mount in the cab of an 2003 tundra. We are currently in El Bolson Argentina, so buy supplies is a bit more difficult. I don't think anything overkill is needed, just a way to make life difficult enough for them not to bother. Truck has US plates and a pop-up camper so it is very conspicuous, but it would be nice to have an easy way to store stuff we want to use in the cab.
