cabover camper overhang question

Yeah, all interesting designs and very good if your camper is not removeable.

Since we have a perfectly good flatbed, it doesn't really make sense to go to a lot of trouble to make a permanent mount living area with a flip up attic rather than just design a sturdy lifting mechanism either to allow the truck to drive out or to allow the camper to be lifted above the swing radius of the truck cab.

As long as I have points on the camper that can handle the stress of lifting, I can build a mechanism to lift it (if the Attwood jacks are not up to the task)

Don't know if I really agree with that... Personally, I think this style of cab overhang would be simpler to do and that it would work very well for a removable camper body.
It would also give you a very good emergency egress point.
