Who has the Camco 57331 Olympian RV Wave-3 3000 BTU LP Gas Catalytic Heater? (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BUV1RK/ref=ox_ya_oh_product)

I just bought this from amazon online but I will only receive it on the evening before my departure date across the country.

Can anyone let me know what part i need to successfully hook this heater up? (i.e. Hose, adapter, regulator, propane tank...etc)

I am in the process of modifying my camper so I am trying to set everything up in advance for the heater, making it usable right away...

I also tried looking for a manual online but Camco website just doesn't list any other than a product description.

THanks,
CHris

Since my camper is built from scratch, I don't any existing gas line.

I am actually curious about the what & where to get the regulator & line needed for the heater to be hooked up to a 20lbs propane tank.

I did pretty much the same, built my own camper and bought a Wave 3 from Amazon. It was harder than I thought it would be to find a regulator-hose assembly in a local store that would work with it. Amazon didn’t sell the Camco hose/regulator, Home Depot and Lowe’s only had a cheap looking regulator with a short hose and checking at other hardware stores in the area I couldn’t find anything that look like it would work. A sporting goods chain called Wholesale Outfitters (I think that is the name, it is the former Sportsman’s warehouse), had a Mr. Heater brand product with the right regulator that supplies 11” pressure and has a 3/8 female connector that fits on the Wave 3 tapered male connector. A 5’ hose/regulator was just over $20 and they had a 12’ one at $29. Cabelas might also sell it (they have the 5’ listed on their web site). I bought the 12’ hose because I am just going to feed it in thru an open window and I want to have the propane tank away from the camper. Good luck.

It should work given the product description (3/8" flare female fitting to attach to the heater). Some brands have a plastic star wheel that fits over the POL fitting nut (the end that fits into the propane tank) so you don't need a wrench to put it on and take it off. Or, if you think you might want to remove the regulator from the propane tank frequently, you can buy a quick connect that replaces the POL on the regulator.

Above is referring to the grill store product, the Cabelas product description states it has a 3/8" flat nut fitting, I don't think that would work. If you go to the mrheater.com web site they have a list of their regulator/hose kits and have the model numbers of the 5' and 12' hose/regulator assemblies that have the 3/8" female flare fitting that the Wave would need. Mr Heater sells a lot of different hoses/fittings, make sure you get the right one. If you have time to wait for shipping you can just order from the Wave manufacturer site, it is more expensive and I think you also have to pay shipping. If you want buy at a store check a good sporting good place like Cabelas or Sportsman's Warehouse or maybe Camping World would have it.

Thanks, I'm in Toronto at the moment & finding such products at a reasonable price only leave me the option to buy online, unless I start digging on the yellowpage. Since my sister needs it by next friday so she can bring it over for Christmas, I don't have much time left to buy it & get it shipped.)

So if the (3/8" flared female fitting on the end 11" water column regulator and 1/4" internal diameter) is what I need to fit the flare male fitting of the Camco Olympian Wave 3 heater,

I have found these following places for the regulator & hose:

-Hurricane 5' Propane Hose & Low Pressure Regulator --- $20.34 + $8 shipping + 5% off (Coupon Code: SUPERSAVINGS)

I had my hose custom made at a propane supply outfit. I would imagine you could get anything you need (regulator, etc.) if you have something similar where you live. Good luck.
