Camp chair for packing into a suitcase?

Kermit chairs.....
Small for transport, they are comfortable to sit in....for more than just a few minutes. Quality built, handsome looking hardwood construction. You can leave it to your kids as part of your estate :). Also, you can chose from standard, or "wide body" version... Choose wide body, and "grow" into it your middle age years. Lol. A "tall" adapter option for long legs or at a table.
There are videos on YouTube, I believe, so you can become familiar with the set up process.

Draw back/cons? Not cheap, but quality typically isn't. I consider it a good deal.
The real drawback (that doesn't go away) is the weight. It is not really a backpacking item. Car camping, park/outdoor events, motorcycle, or horse/mule pack item. Well, unless your in absolutely GREAT physical condition. Like, Special Forces great shape....lol

Yes, we own two, they travel well in the Miata trunk, or the TC....

You can thank me later - after the pain of the purchase has subsided, and you are enjoying them. :)

Spring break is probably over by now right? I have the Helinox ground chair myself. Thought I would pack it in my backpack while on day hikes. Never once took it on any hikes, $90 wasted :)

Well, we didn't buy any chairs for this trip, but I must say the Helinox is the likely choice when we do decide to drop the cash.

I didn't read any farther than the first page. Save trouble and get a cheap chair at a local store and leave it there when you depart. Wouldn't say that for sleeping bags but a chair for the week...it's time to be practical.
