Skamper 060s

I scrubbed and scrubbed and then I just decided to repaint. It needs some stickers but it came out fantastic. This was the first day I took it out to the beach with the new paint job. Lots of folks came around to take a look at it. I had it on the beach a few times before the paint job and no one came around. LOL Looked a little Sanford and Son I guess. I Only paid $500 for it and have since replaced the floor, resealed the roof, replaced the roof vent and painted it. I still need a pump faucet and there is no fridge but have instead opted for 2 28qt coolers instead. One for drinks, one for food. I plan on doing lots with it in the fall but so far it makes a day at the beach really awesome and it's surprisingly cool with all the windows open

10 nights in it, and the best camper top-to-bottom we've owned so far !
>>> Will post more info and pics in the "Pop-up Truck Campers" section at a later date.

I saw an identical Dodge and FWC in blue last year north of Cape Blanco in Oregon. Very cool!
We pulled over at that exact spot in Oregon. Beautiful coastline up there.

Love your set up! I got a 99 just like yours- I'd love some 285's but wondered about spacers...how's the dually do on the trails?

I have practically the same truck as you. The camper looks great!

What have you done to your suspension to handle the extra weight of the camper? Any brake upgrades?

Hello everyone, Picked up a Roamin' Chariot for my Toyota pickup in January. havent seen anyone else on the portal with one so I thought I would share some pics of mine.

Thanks, I really like the camper and truck together. I haven't done anything to the brakes, but it would be nice to have more braking power. I did the 'zuk mod' for bringing the rear level but it is too soft for the weight of the camper so it sways during turns quite a bit.. I will probably spend some money on new leafs to stiffen up the back end, just hate paying double to ship heavy stuff north...

I upgraded my front brakes to T-100 rotors and calipers with Hawk pads. So far I love them, but I'm not hauling much weight. I had to swap the master cylinder as well.

I upgraded to my old saggy springs to Northwest Offroad rear springs before I knew about Old Man Emu. They're ok, but I'll be switching to OME first chance I get. Where is ANC? Is that Anchorage?
