Camper jacks

I need to be able to lift my camper box off the truck for service and modification. The only camper jacks I could find with enough capacity are landing gear jacks.

Can two sets be used safely to lift the box off?

That is not their intended use, but I don’t see a problem unless there is a master/ slave issue (like one is weaker or less stable than the other).

I would need to modify them to have the correct length, but the lift would be enough and put one set per side or use individual crank versions.

Thanks in advance!

I don't see an issue with that, just make sure that your extensions are stiff enough to to maintain straightness at height and the slop in the telescoping tube is minimized. Off the shelf ruck camper jacks are not that stout, basically an extended version of trailer tongue jack.

With larger landing jacks you have the benefit of a 2-speed gearing and through shaft to allow tandem jacks to be operated with one crank.
