Removing the Khaya is a 30-minute process, very easy but not instant. I remove it 2~3 time a year. Will take it to a scale as time allows. Brakes have been upgraded to handle additional weight. We visit Death Valley a few times a year and each trip is successful on every level.

What's your best estimate on average fuel economy?
Like almost everything else in the overland rig arena; it depends on many variables... however here's what we're seeing.

In general, on the average trip we see 13~15mpg. If I'm pulling my motorcycle trailer it's more like 10~11 mpg.

I found out the hard way years ago, any 'stated' mpg from the factory or dealer is 'ambitious', at best.

Here’s a different type of question. How easy is access through the rear hatch? At 81 getting in and out could be an issue. But I’m in way better shape than most folks 80+, still riding my mountain bike a lot as only one example. Can you list some info on that door; height, width and height of door sill off the ground?

Still hoping you can get a weight.

Sorry to resurrect this for something mundane, but I see some drawers/cabinets near the entrance with a sink/stove on top. Who made these cabinets/drawers, are they aluminum?
