Adding for reference seeing so many people liking the Plano XL trunks...
I got two of them from Amazon, then saw them in Walmart for like half the price - identical bins in the camo variety. Couldn't cancel Amazon order on time, ah well.
They're OK and can hold a lot of things, heavy things too, but are thin and shouldn't be sat on. Actually, I wouldn't recommend setting anything on top of them that weighs more than a couple pounds or you'll risk bowing the lid. The hinges on the back are all plastic and if the lid bows a little, the hinges can pop apart. Opening the lid with compromised hinges can further damage/bend them, and you'll have a forever compromised lid :\
Also, don't get wild with filling them. I've tried to fill a few nooks and crannies and found it to deform the bin, thus making the lid not fit right, thus making hinges pop apart. I've found it best to treat them like Sterlite walmart bins that most people use indoors..
