Camping with the furries!

My sister said it couldn't be done. So Dad and I had to try it. It was exhausting--they're like 2-year-old kids who always want to be somewhere else...when they're not napping. It was fun though and they seemed pretty happy with the camper. Cinch the little healer even christened it for us. I foolishly ignored his whines as pleas for attention when in reality he really needed to go out. They had no qualms about taking up the whole couch when they napped, but atleast they were comfy!

I wish I had a picture of us trying to canoe with them, but I was trying too hard not to fall in the water.

I'm sure they had a blast. I never leave the dogs behind, they are part of the family too.

haha, thanks. Yes, the pups always go straight for the comfy spots.

I had a little emissions testing scare last week....failed the opacity portion of the test and had visions in my head of handing the truck and camper over to a scrapper.

Instead, (insert Rocky theme music here), I headed to the parts shop for some new plugs, air filter and heavier 15-40 oil. If it hadn't failed smog, I may not have noticed that the spark plugs were all working themselves loose (!!) and were pretty well fouled. I put in the fresh plugs nice and tight, cleaned the PCV valve, changed the AFM setting back to stock, set the timing for 5-degrees, made sure everything was nice and hot when it got to the front of the sniffer line, and PASS!! Whew--some more years of trail rambling and camping! It seems to run better too!

Tell me about it. I've got two Carolina Dogs that I are going to be living with me in the motorhome I'm building... and they just had puppies. So my pack just doubled in size, and my motorhome didn't. I had accounted for the dogs when I designed the floorplan, but things are going to be a liiiiittle bit tight in there with four big dogs.

great dogs. Dogs love camping so much it's hard to leave them home. I like how the dogs expect to sleep in the best spots. Smart.
