Can PDF's be converted for Ozzy?

As the National Forests complete the new Motorized use maps, I'm wondering if the PDF format can adapted for use with Ozzy.

Here's a few local to me examples:

This link covers all of the Colorado NF's!

I took the time to download one of my favorite areas (Hey KC - it's some of your favorite stomping grounds too!)

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that Photoshop can open PDFs. If that's true, then it might be able to save them in other formats.

PS CS4, CS5 will open a PDF file then you can save the file as a JPG, TIFF and PNG files format that Ozzi will open..

Because I do not use Ozzi (I work with MAC) I can not help you more..

Thanks guys!

I'm still in the process of deciding on using a netbook or going with the HEMA unit that uses Ozzy. Knowing I can convert these solves that anyway. The new maps would offer awesome detail!

oooooooo! Looks like I'll be adding these to GE this weekend :D Might as well do Tonto too and try to figure out what the hell to do with Coconino one.

Thanks for the info Mark!

Are you trying to open the files in Google Earth, or OziExplorer?

I'm the one who started the process of taking the Colorado MVUM PDF's, and converting them for use in Google Earth. Many of the KMZ files on the Stay the Trail website are my doing. I'm not familiar with OziExplorer, but if you have any questions, just let me know - maybe I can help with georeferencing & file conversion.
