Can you lift a Road trek?

He is wanting to lift an old Dodge van - Clydesdale would have no interest, can't think of anyone who would do it other than as a EXPENSIVE custom job, but anything is possible.

This is why I went with a Ford chassis. Everywhere I checked said no to Dodge.

Hey,
I'm looking to buy a 1995 ROADTREK Versatile 190 Class B motorhome. Like this one: https://www.google.ca/search?q=1995...youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DUnIxie9OfEs;480;360 Any idea if they can be lifted? Bigger tires? We are doing lots of logging roads (nothing super difficult)....

Right now we are driving a jeep liberty and roof top tent... but being on the wet west coast that's not fun....

I'd call up 'West Shore Spring, and see what they have to say. As for longer brake lines, 'Coast Industrial' can't be beat... If they can't do it, I don't think anyone can.

Ive read that many dodge road trekers have ball joint issues. Lifted with bigger tires you would probably need to replace the whole underside with a custom built suspension. Youd do better flat towing a beater little bitty 4x4 behind it for your off road treks.

One of the problems of the class B's are they are very low to the ground. Pulling into a parking lot will usually scrape the bottom. So even taking one on a gravel road will require some lift to save the valves and tanks.

With new front coils (higher spring rate/diameter) and air bags on the rear I have approx 12" of clearance to the propane tank.
Obviously the rear diff is the lowest spot but that can only change with tire diameter. This is on my 7000lb'79 Dodge B200.
My hitch would be the problem going off the road. It has the same clearance but with extended vans they tend to hang up.

Id say that any A Arm type suspension is pretty hard to lift more then 2" ......

but then 2" + bigger tire ( hope it fits in front fender ) should give you a good start

hope you`ll get a posi differential !

On my 84 Cutlass I installed UMI tubular front A arms , maybe they have something for you.....
