Canoe recomendations

Thinking of getting a canoe to go fishing with and taking my 5 yr old twins with me. What would be a stable canoe? Every time I've been in one they've always flipped over.:smiley_drive:

Maybe a canoe is not the answer! I have flipped but only due to "my" mistakes. If a canoe is a must, I would look into outriggers-on both sides!

Canoes are great, but two young children would be a bad idea. Buy (or build) a pram and put oars and a trolling motor on it. A better solution, I think, and still car-toppable.

I have an Old Town 'Glide' 12’ long and it’s a wobbly ride. I also have the TomCat inflatable Tandem Kayak and it is real sturdy on the water. The nice thing about an inflatable kayaks is that they don’t take up too much space.

I never get the canoe flipping thing. I've never unintentionally flipped a canoe in my life, and have been canoeing since I was 6. We've been canoeing a number of times with our little boy so far, no problem.
