Oh man! I'm so Jelly!

The wife and I want to get to Cape Lookout soon. We stayed a week in Ocracoke earlier this year and loved it.

Post of some more pics if/when you can.

Talk to Kari Martin, she will make your trip happen.
Reservations best but we simply showed up and only had to wait 2 hours for a spot. We were the only car on the ferry for our run and they let our kids into the wheelhouse to steer the ferry!

I could say our trips are purely recreational. But we take our 5 kids ages 9-1. They don't have phones or electronics. They learn about nature, planning, moving forward when plans change or storms hit, and that is ok to play and run around without shoes on. I hope to teach them to make their own adventures and how important it is to just go do something because it sounds fun. We aren't the best equipped. We aren't flashy. And there is a lot of stuff I'd like. But if we waited till our trucks were set up how we want, or if our kids are "old enough." We'd never go anywhere.
