Cargo Bags or Cargo Box.....do you know?

Consider Hardigg brand cargo boxes. Completely weather proof, light and reasonable costs used.

What about an aluminum truck box? They typically are pretty light and are very common so cost isn't too bad for even new. You can lock it and would be much more secure than a plastic luggage box. UV is not really an issue and with a few wingnuts you can easily remove.

Look for the boxes that go on top of bed rails as they're common in 12" deep. Lay it on it's back.
