Casner Mountain Trail: Sycamore and Secret Wilderness Corridor

Well, it's taken a few years to arrange it, but on Monday 01 June 15, I'll have the opportunity to spend a day on Casner Mt. Trail #8 with Jack and Judy Casner of Milton, Kansas. Jack is a direct descendant of the Verde Valley Casner clan!

It was a very fortuitous chain of events that lead to this. They read Jay's article in Four Wheel Drive & Sport Utility, made contct with Jay, and he got a hold of me.

So, I'll add a few photos to this post next week.

Very cool trip! I used to ride my Mountain Bike down this trail From Flagstaff to Sedona and back to Flag. It was a long day trip, 12 hours. I had a lineman friend who would drive it for work but never knew you could wheel it. Nice work!

Hidden Cabin didn't make it thru the winter. Got a report it's been crushed by a tree. Neat old place, it was one of the few cabins left on the NF.

Well, the demise of Hidden Cabin was erroneous. We found it in fine fettle today!
