Good to know. I always toss mine in my day pack with lots of other loose items that could totally be pushing on it with more pressure than expected.

I carry several different devices for tracking and notification. I ALWAYS carry them in a separate pouch (usually on my person) or attached to a pack, etc. for this specific reason. It started after I realized that even leaving my headlamp in a big pocket with all kinds of other things can cause it to trigger and eat its batteries.
