CB radio install location?

finally got around to getting a CB radio (actually, birthday present from a friend who decided I took too long to get one on my own)
It looks smaller than CB radios I've seen before (Cobra 25LX).
Unfortunately I can't put it anywhere near the passenger leg area. was thinking on the roof between the front headrests behind the sunroof.
Don't really want to, but I may just bite the bullet and put it on the dash.
Where else is a good place to put it?

What vehicle are you looking at putting it in? Hard wired or removable? There are so many question you have to ask yourself and just tying mocking it up.

My temporary fitting was down in a passenger foot well with double sided tape on the bracket to be able to have easy access

For the LR3 behind the central cubby box and create a bracket so if you ever sold the vehicle just remove and keep the CB which makes fairly easy access to accessory socket power or try and find exposed mounting points around the centre console this might be of use, a forum on DISCO3 UK forum on cb mounting points http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic47619.html

Hope this helps

That's what I did as well... unfortunately, nobody else on the trail every seems to have a HAM license, so it has been relegated to APRS and emergency functionality. :( Hence the need for CB

The sad reality of being on the East Coast. Though we are trying to change the tide on Defendersource to get these damn rednecks off CB.

What about putting it in the center console? You'd have to add a remote speaker but that's not so difficult...
