Hello all. I have an 02 limited and was wondering if so be who has a 3rd gen knows a good spot to install a CB perminatly.

I have an after market CD player and its small but there is no room in the dash and the shifter makes installing something in the lower part very hard.

I recently got a uniden bearcat 880 and need to find a good spot to install it.
Any tips?

Not helpful but I have the same cb in my gen 2. It's pretty big. I mounted mine overhead.

No its still helpful thank you for the idea. I thought about placing it over head but there is a lot of wires up there like the moon roof/lights etc, and i am afraid that I might hit one of them.

A Uniden PRO520XL will fit there with room to spare. Have one in my '93 in the "old" CD spot.

Attached a pic of what my center console looks like on my '03.

My CB is at the bottom, but I don't like it there (and I don't use it, so likely removing it), but the spot my HAM radio takes (the Kenwood) is actually good for it.

Here is my set up. The group that I go with we use ham radio, which is mounted in the center console, but I also have a small cb radio installed off to the side. Initially I was going to install a full size cb unit where my ham is and go with a remote display ham, but after finding that small cb unit went a less expensive route.
