CDN M101 drum brake maintenance?

Judging by some of the builds I've seen on here, this is gonna be too easy for you, but I need to ask for my own good: I am about to dive in and replace the wheel bearings on my trailer. I'd like to re-do the original brakes "while I'm in there."

The lever and cable seem to be in good order (now that I've freed them up; they were good and seized), and while the parking brake internals can probably last forever, I'd like to make sure I've baselined it all and got everything up to snuff.

Anyone have part numbers and sources, or can point me to a good "how to" on how to do these brakes, what to look out for, etc?

I highly recommend signing up for the Yahoo site. TONS of good info and lots of emails from like minded people, deals on parts, advice etc.

DOH! Oh yeah. The M101 CDN group- I actually posted there but didnt get any response (and the links to the manual on the group page didn't work for me.)

You all have any suggestions as far as suppliers for brake parts, or will NAPA likely be as good as any?

I tried to add a copy of the manual but it exceeds my allowed attachment. Try again later at Yahoo, I guess.

When I was doing the same on our M101, I found the brake components all in good order. I tore things down, cleaned them up, and reassembled. Nowhere near enough wear on the pads to bother. A touch of grease on a spot or two that needs to slide and you're done.

If you need parts, Napa should do. It's all standard stuff.
