I'm not so sure I'd limit myself to those recommendations.. I'm seeing every variation of chain on large, German government diesels in snow and mud (many of the diamond pattern) and they're sorta picky about things like design, engineering and following the rules. I think the key part you need to look at is the tensioning arrangement.
