errr...this is how I always did this.
take the cover off the compressor and disconnect (well just loosen, you'll hear the air coming out) the outer two lines, its a 10mm nut...these two lines go to the air bags. The ***** end of the truck will drop due to the air coming out. Jack up the rear, push the decompressed bag up into the perch, install the spacers on the seats (you'll need an airbag spacer that will allow the bag to "lock", or twist, into the spacer just like it does on the seat), re-tighten the hoses on the compressor and turn on the car to let it air up the bags. You will have to have the doors closed or it won't let the compressor come on...I just had the window down and started it up standing next to it. I really don't think you could get a wrench up in there to disconnect the line on the airbag end to let the air out.
edit: dur you know how to do the bags, just unscrew the outer two hoses on the compressor, not the middle one.
