Cheap storage solution at Costco

Picked up a nice 27 gallon storage bin at Costco for $7.99. They have a recessed lid so that they nest well when stacked and the have slots so that they can be locked. The best part is that they are made in the good ol' US of A. I will be headed back to pick up a few more for sure.

They seem to seal well and have retaining features that keep the lid held down.

The don't have any "seal" just the overlapping edge on the rim - but it has holes in it occasionally - so water would leak in. I would say they are reasonably dust proof. They are nice - I've used a lot in my shop to organize part storage.

Correct, they don't actually "seal" but they do have a nice positive register when putting the lid on. Perhaps i was interpreting "seal" incorrectly, but what can you expect for $8?

I have used these for quite some time in and out of the weather. They keep water out pretty well in the bed of the truck. Stick them on the roof or submerge them and they probably wont work as well but in the trailer or truck bed they work well for the money.

I've used that box with some home built dividers as a stove /kitchen box for about a year now. It has held up well to being tossed around in the back of the truck on multiple trips. As others have noted, it isn't sealed, but it has been reasonably water and dust proof...

I bought a couple of these and just lined the lid with some foam weather stripping that you can buy at Homie Depot.
Keeps dust and water out pretty nicely.

I have been using these for years now. Just FYI home Depot also sells them but for like 15 dollars each. Costco is Def the way to go

First trip in in the history book for our new bins. I managed to crack a lid pressing down on it with my palm will fix it with a little G-flex epoxy small crack but still.. I think I'm going to get one or maybe two more then we can be all organized for a fast load and go the three I picked up worked great but I need to get smarter about how I pack and organize them. Three side by side fit perfect on our Life Time Tent trailer.

i bought a bunch and they are reasonably strong however some must have been from separate batches and not all stack on one another. Either the lid or the bottom is different on some boxes. Check yours out if you buy a few!
