Yeah, I got out of the MTB thing due to the weather here in Southern Chile for a time, but about 7 days ago, I said, ahhh... what's a bit of mud and water. So, I just started with what I had. It's a GT Aggressor, and I bought some parts for it today at Oxford bikes in Pt Montt. I got me some a Spinner (Budget) 120mm travel front fork, Kore Torsion 680mm handle bars, Kore 65mm head set, and a Kali Protection full face helmet. So, the bike looks pretty different now.
Here it is today
My new bars
My new forks. They don't have lock out on them, but the extra 40mm of travel change everything.
So, now, my riding is going to change a lot, I think! I've been struggling with the old XC setup. It's just not balanced for tight trail riding in these slick forest. Good thing is, I have old horse back riding trails a 4 min walk from my house that are on a neighbors private property that I can use. So, I have easy access riding. It's been inspiring me for a while. Here's a little XC style biking vid to show you the trails.
This vid is the first of many I'm doing just to have a visual marker of my progress, and the changes made. My riding right now is SUPER LAME, but I'm sure you'll like to see the trails. This was shot on an iphone 4, and with my bike still in the XC format.
