I agree with Dave. No one is getting home if there's a rip in your oil pan.

Looks like we have a mix of votes here. Hopefully we get some good information from this. I'm still trying to figure out who is watering their roof..... I figure want you want would have to depend on the regions you will be traveling in. In the western US, the sliders/ skid plates would be first for sure. Here in the southeast, most people go for a winch or locker only because of the mud and abundance of trees to strap to. Though in the western part of VA you can find as many rocks as you want. Head down to my neck of the woods in NC and you'd have no rock but plenty of mud and sand.

Sliders first. They've saved me a few times. Of course, my truck already had a locker.

Winch - haven't needed one yet. Traveling companions, tow straps, and shovels have worked so far.

That's the nice thing about driving a lifted solid axle. My oil pan's pretty much up out of the way. My gas tank on the other hand...
