Civilian Jeep trailer Identification

I just picked up this jeep trailer, and am having some trouble identifying what it is. It looks to be very similar in construction to ones made for Willys by Sterling and American Fire Apparatus Co, but there are some differences such as the tailgate chains and the stake pockets. It has had the tongue changed and it looks like the axle has been put under the springs. It needs some serious work, but I've never seen another one like it. Anyone have any idea what it is?

I thought perhaps the bantam civilian model, but the kept the higher vertical side (above the 45 degree bend) and didn't have stake pockets. Perhaps it is just a well built trailer using a pickup bed off of something from the 40's or earlier.

Not quite

This one is close but I am not sure of the maker.

The red one is mine and it is a Converto model, but there are a number of differences with this one. The red one I have does not have the middle stake pocket. The tailgate looks to have been fabbed, or just different. The hooks are different and in different locations, the stake pockets on mine do not have the cutout windows...Blah blah... So I don't think it is the same one.

Was just going through some old bookmarks of mine and found a trailer similar to yours made by a company named Knox.

Someone mentioned Converto. Here's a picture of my Converto before I started working on it. It has similarities to the OP trailer, but a lot is different. Whatever that trailer is, it looks to have work done to it already. The tailgate looks fabbed and the front of the tub looks to be replaced (or added).

Here's a pic of my tailgate while I was working on it. The tailight is not original I had added that.

The tailgate is definitely not homemade, but it did have the angle iron brace added to the top and the hinges were changed. It looks to have had 3 hinges originally. The springs and axle look factory, but were moved about 3 inches forward and welded(you can't get to the bolts with the floor in it). The fenders appear to be almost identical to m100/bantam fenders, except the mounting tabs are attached to the fender instead of the tub, and they are notched for the stake pocket.
