Thought this would make a good start to someone's project. Maybe I should have held out for this to come along. No affiliation...

1984 Ford E-350 Diesel 4x4 Van. This combination is hard to find. 6.9L Diesel motor and 1-ton 4 wheel drive with adjustable Rancho suspension and locking front hubs. Dual 20 gallon fuel tanks. Has extended roof for standing room and extra storage space. The camper area is fully loaded with modular platform for bed or walk-through, ~60 gallon drinking water tank with pump through filter to sink, large propane tank feeds 2-burner stove on counter, lots of drawers and cabinets, a toilet hooked to a catch-tank set inside a quasi-shower, and much more. There are dual 12v batteries up front that also feed an auxiliary bank in the rear consisting of 2 new 12V Trojan AGM's hooked in parallel. These are currently also fed by 4 solar panels on the roof and sides of the van running through a new charge controller with new 6Gg wire. The 12v pump for the water tank runs off the aux battery system, as do some banks of interior lights, through a 12v fuse panel. There is a new 1000w 12v inverter for AC power. The set up in the back of the van overall is very comfy for 2 people and ready to be used for extended trips anywhere. It runs and drives and stops really nice and is pretty much ready to go. The tags are good through 2010. This is an excellent van for the summer festival season, especially Burning Man! The 1-ton 4 wheel drive system and excellent tires will pretty much take you anywhere and tow anything. Survive the apocalypse! I am asking $3950 for this rare beauty.
I am only selling it due to the birth of our child, making it too small for the 3 of us to camp in. I am willing to trade straight out or partially for a 19'-22' travel trailer in good shape. We need something bigger to camp in.

This will probably sell pretty quickly. Very nice rig and you could put antique plates on it.

It would be nice to know if an aftermarket bolt-on turbo charger can be attached to that diesel engine...
