YIKES! :Wow1:

It'd be a heckuva thing when finished, but there'd be some adventures along the way.

Depending on where you live, you might pay better than $5K just to have to shipped over on a RoRo carrier. There'd likly be a charge to get it to the port and handle shipping at the sellers end. And it could be another $5K to obtain and mount new tires.

No easy way to get the parts you might need in the US. Just flying parts around is expensive, and the dollar is way weak. And I have no idea if the fact that it's sitting on a trailer instead of it's own 6 wheels is anything to be concerned about. Also, the average mid-80s day cab on a European cabover is pretty tight; you might not like it. You'd also be pretty limited in space for a passthrough to the cabin,

And judging by the heft of the thing--along with the giant tow arrangement on the rear--there's a good chance that it is geared quite low, maybe too low to be practical for routine US highway use.

But for all that, it'd be as cool as they come, just like the big ActionMobil 6x6 desert rigs. And SAS sent me something showing that plane fares to The Netherlands are pretty cheap this winter. Besides, if practicality were all that important, this forum wouldn't exist. ;)

That's cool as hell! I'd be a bit concerned about the max width -- it appears like it may be over 102" which would make it oversize... maybe different wheels and tires could keep it legal...

On second look... maybe it's under 102". I was looking at this picture and thought "boy it doesn't even fit on the lowboy without overhanging". But the other pictures show that it's just the front left corner that's hanging off...
