Cleveland, Lincoln electric and campa

Well I decided since I got my miller dynasty I should learn how to use it. So I looked into the Lincoln electric welding school and found a 1 week tig class. I called good friend Chris Cole from Campa trailers and he offered a place to stay so the trip was on.

I flew In Sunday night and started class on Monday. It goes from 8 am - 2:30 in the afternoon. The place is awesome and the education so far after 2 days has been incredible. Day one was steel, today was stainless steel and tomorrow is aluminum. Thursday and Friday are ???

The facility is huge and is bustling with tons of students learning everything from basic stick to full on robotic welding. All I can say is if you have been thinking about learning to weld coming here for a one week class will far exceed your local tech school night program. After today my stainless tig work is spot on with ultra tight beads and no discerable distortion on 16 gauge. I will say I have some natural talent but it's really the quality of our instructor who is Johnny on the spot with suggestions and information. This by far the best $450 I have spent on education. I am already planning on coming back next month for another class!

Staying with Chris's family and seeing the Campa world head quarters has been fun also. Chris's trucks are awesome. The little 80's Toyota hilux, the 79 series cruiser his 80 series with factory lockers are all in great form. No doubt he is an enthusiast.

Sorry for the lack of pics my camera died and I did not get them uploaded. I will post some tomorrow.
