Hey all - time for some spring cleaning of gear that I've been fortunate enough to upgrade or have moved on to other solutions. There is a bunch of fishing stuff but also a bunch of just general outdoors and backpacking stuff I thought people might be interested in. I'd rather sell it locally (i'm in SLC, UT) but I'll ship at cost on your dime if you really want me to.
I'll put a price next to everything, but I'm also looking for a 4 piece 6wt rod if anyone has one they're looking to get rid of in trade... I'm also looking for a ARB/TJM/Shrockworks style front bumper for my '04 tacoma. i just got in a fender bender and it sounds like insurance is willing to just give me a check instead of repairing my current one. anything else expo related that is interesting in trade might work too :victory:
You can find pics of all this stuff at: there is so much i didn't want to link every little thing. http://david.nellans.org/gallery/2009/12-31/
SOLD - Fishpond Stowaway Reel Case - used to store reels in closet at home, only made it into the truck a couple of times, looks like new minus a couple trivial scuffs. how about $50...
Cabella's 2 piece 6wt 8'6 PT rod. i love the rod but hate carrying it as my only 2 piece seperately, its definitely not a fast action rod. if anyone has a slower action 4 piece 6wt, i'm looking for one to replace this with... this was my kayak fishing rod. how about $75...
Hummingbird fishing bag - free if you want it
Lowe Pro Rover Plus AW - this was my second of 2 of these so this one got very little use. i haven't "modified" it like i did the first one so its brand new minus a little snag on one of the pockets you can see in the photos. a great pack for those of you who hike and take gear. it looks like Lowe now longer offers this slightly larger size
than their rover AW II. this one has and adjustable torso length which is the best part about it. $100
flambeau blue ribbon fly boxes - these were all given to me as gifts but don't fit in the pockets of things i've got very well. they are the large size according to cabellas website - i use 2 of the x-large ones. the foam has stored a few flies but certainly doesn't need to be replaced. the ones for nymphs with the latches obviously don't need anything as well. the sticky looking crap is from pulling the tags off, a little goof-off and they'll look brand new. it looks like they're $30 bucks a pop (ouch!) at cabellas on sale. how about $20 each? 1-SOLD (the one that is double foam)
SOLD - fishpond aussie clippers and 360 swivel retractor - these were included with some other fishpond shwag i bought at some point. brand new. $15 for the both of them
cabellas box - medium, probably included with something i got as well. $5
carlisle magic paddle - 220cm. used 2x. great paddle but its just too short for my wide *** fishing kayak. $50
REI Cruise UL pack. its a 3000cu in pack and weighs in at 3lbs. definitely considered a light though maybe not ultra-light backpacking bag. I used it on just a couple of float trips but have replaced it with something a bit more winter specific for carrying shovel/probe/beacon. looks like its about $150 new still, how about $90
Osprey Switch 25+5 ski pack. my touring pack for the last couple years. can do boards vertically, skis a frame, has hydration and shove/probe pocket. i tele so never carried skis on it so its in great shape. has hydration pocket and all that fancy stuff too. i've gone to something slightly bigger since i'm doing more overnights out. $50
kelty ridgway synthetic bag 30 degree. nice warm bag, warmer than anything else i own that says 15 degrees on it, but its synthetic so its fairly heavy. definitely a car camping bag and not a backpacking bag. used fairly rarely - $25
SOLD - northface cats meow synthetic bag. i used this a lot and its no longer a 3 season bag, i use it as a summer bag now. its still in good shape, but just doesn't have its initial loft anymore. $5 (i hate to throw it out but have 2 other backup bags)
sierra designs orion CD 2 man tent - i didn't set it up to take pictures but i certainly can if you want, there are lots of pictures online if you google too. this was my 2-man backpacking tent for the last couple years. its got both the footprint and the "gear loft" for it. doesn't leak a bit, i'll even re-seam seal it if you want. has been a great tent, i finally coughed up for a uber light (and uber expensive) replacement. $75
titleist 905s 10.5 driver - has a custom graphalloy prolaunch shaft (X-Stiff). i moved on to newer and fancier. $25 and i'll even throw in the extra golf umbrella i discovered in the closet next to it!
let me know if i'm way out of line, i tried to make stuff about 50% of what it costs new based on a quick googling, or cheaper than comparable used stuff.
