Clydesdale Ultimate Independant Build( W/Finished Photos)

We are new to the forum here, but hopefully going to be sticking around awhile.
Thought i would post up some info and pics of a new E350 that we are starting for a customer in Toronto.

It is starting life as a 2010 E350 Extended Cargo Van with the 5.4L V8, and 3.73 gear ratio.

We are doing one of our Independant front end conversions to it along with alot of extras, which include:

Rancho Extended Length Radius Arms
Rancho 4" Lift coil springs
Rancho RS5000 Shocks
Cut and Bent Twin Traction Beams
Re-gear the van to 4.10 ratio
Bushwacker Flairs
Aluminess Front Bumper
Aluminess Rear Bumper w/tire carrier, Deluxe Box, and Bike Rack
Aluminess Nerf Bars
Aluminess Side Ladder
12,000 pound Warn Endurance Winch
Lightforce 140 Lights
33" ******** Cepek FCII Tires including full size spare.

This is the list so far and there could be more before were done

The van is then getting sent out for a full camper conversion.

I will post up pics of the parts and progress as we go along. Feel free to ask any questions.

The first two pics are of the stock van sitting beside a van that we just finished. The tan van is our basic independant conversion with only 2" of lift.
This van will also be getting a camper conversion and is going to be travelling the world this summer.

We work very close with the local ford dealer here, and they do not have any problems with our conversions. But understandably the warranty is void on all front suspension components, but we offer our own warrantee on these parts. As of right now our warrantee is 1yr, 20,000 km on all conversion related parts.

Heres a pic of some progress on our newest conversion. Front fender flairs on, bumpers removed awaiting new ones to arrive, Transfercase, and transmission both installed.

Where do you get the TTB ? Do you hit up all the pick n pulls or can you still get new parts ?

Looks like nice work.

quick question:
In your pictures you can nicely see the underside of a brand new van. I love clean vehicles, but what interests me is the coating on the underside. Is there anything else then just the laquer finish on it? Any type of other protection we can't see?

I'm just kind of shocked to be honest... as my 16 year old VW Eurovan has an factory black rubber coating...

Here are some more parts that were just finished including custom I beams that have the lower ball joint moved outwards to correct the camber angle without using drop brackets resulting in much better ground clearance.
We also have to modify the hubs to accept an ABS ring so the ABS is fully functioning.
Also included are the custom I beam frame mounting brackets.

there is an optional wax type of coating that can be applied by the dealer that is used to inhibit rust. it is something that can be sprayed inside the doors, inside the frame rails, and everywhere you could think of. They also sell a ruberized undercoating package too, which he did not opt for.

heres some pics of the front suspension mocked up, mounting the longer radius arms, and pushing the axle ahead for more tire clearance.

Just curious. What is the advantage of a TTB setup over a straight solid axle? It seems like a lot of moving parts and wear points.

Main advantage i think is ride quality, as it will closely mimick the ride of an OEM van. The way we are doing this van will be even better because we are taking some desert racing technology and aplying it to the suspension by use of longer radius arms, and modified axle beams to allow more wheel travel.

Another picture of the front suspension being mocked up with spring and shock, also just received the warn winch that we will be installing.
