Tows awesome, no issues there. I would really like to knock 50lbs off the tongue weight being the perfectionist I am.

The plan for that will be to add a pair of bumper mounted swing out Scepter can holders that will hold 2 cans on each side 4 cans total. That 200ish lbs 8 or 10" behind the rear bumper should knock the tongue weight down some more. Plus we needed a way to carry fuel and water so win win.

Looking good. Glad to see that the weight was so low. Makes me feel better about my freelander trailer project

Thanks guys!

My dad cleaned the stock rear carpet the other day, looks like new.

Front carpet is done.

2 doors in the front to access the storage under the deck.

Still need to trim the head liner and re install it, cover the foam in the front with something more durable, wire the fuse box and other electronic stuff and a bunch of other things I can't think of right now but its coming together.

You have some amazing creativity and fabrication skills. All the little attention to detail items really put this over the top compared to similar types of projects Ive seen.

Great progress buddy. I love those 3/4" LED on there, barely noticeably, very professional. When is pops taking his first camping trip?

Thank you sir! Ive been called a perfectionist, personally I think the details make or break any thing. You eat with your eyes first as they say. If it looks like a piece of crap you see that first and start forming an opinion from there.

Thanks! I like their low profile and I hate being surprised by a trailer on the road so I try to make sure mine are well lit.

His place is about 6500ft above sea level, we live right at the base of the Rockies so all the best spots are west of here most of our favorites 10,000+ ft so its still pretty snowy up there. We usually get out mid May most years. I cant wait :sombrero:

Started working on the swing out for the water/fuel cans. We decided not to remake the whole bumper since we don't need rock protection or anything else. We designed this bracket that's going to bolt to the bumper on the top and the bumper bracket from the frame on the bottom. Ill probably end up gusseting the back as well for strength. The socket represents what will be the 1.5" solid stock for my spindle.

Going to cut a 2" hole in the bumper for the spindle to come up and clear the plastic bumper corner under the tail light where ill weld the swing arm on and attach the cans.

Bracket still needs some tweaks but when its all done it should fit under the bumper with the stock trim on covering the bolts. Clear the stock tail lights and rear glass so I don't have to mess with any of that and hold 4 5gal Scepter cans. Probably 10/10 water/fuel or 15/5 for most trips. That 200 is lbs back there will pull some weight off the tongue. The perfectionist in me is shooting for 250-275/2500-2750 fully loaded, ready to party.

Do you plan to install a battery and onboard charger? Will you be using the trailer connector to the vehicle to charge battery while driving?

Yep if you go back to post 44 there are some pics and details on the electrical/battery box. It is setup 7pin to charge the battery while driving.

Are you guys planing on leaving it fairly spartan inside, or are there plans for any sort of kitchenette or storage inside? Some kinda pull out rear cooking solution like a cross between an SUV with drawers and a teardrop kitchen would be interesting and probably quite effective...

Love how awesome this build is turning out.
