Compact Camper Trailer build from Scratch

Howdy all...im not done with my build yet but I wanted to post up some pics on what I have been doing if it helps inspire others or fosters new ideas for my build.

Started with buying a project that was started by Harker Outdoors owner Joe. He had the frame welded and a 3 sided tub welded and put it on an axle to fit tacoma 6 lug tires. It was loosely modeled after a military trailer that he liked the look of.

Then I ordered some fenders from trailer-fenders.com and some Nilight tail light boxes. Spent an afternoon at my friends house and we got some stuff cut and welded up to mount the fenders and lights as well as attachment points for the trailer chains etc on the tongue.
Also got some frontrunner outfitters load bars made for the Tacoma bed track and bolted them on.

Next up was paint and decking. paint was a flat black enamel for the tub, gloss black farm and impliment for the frame, and desert sand tan enamel for interior lower side walls.
decking was normal construction sheeting that I thompson water sealed. eventually this will be swapped out for marine plywood.

Ended up moving to another state so I got some new tires and loaded up!

most recently I made a soft top for it from 14oz vinyl like is used for soft sided semi trailers and such. still need to fab up a rear barn door or tailgate which i should get to in the next couple months. I will be adding a roof box and Thule Foothill RTT to round out V1 of the trailer. down the line I plan on building an alumninum wedge pop up camper for the top of it for V2!
