Aeropress or the new Pakt travel pour over system. I have both and they both make a great cup of coffee. The Aeropress is easier to clean but you need an electric kettle. The Pakt system comes with a kettle but it’s also like $100 more expensive.

16 years later, 300,000 people have responded with their own personal coffee ritual and recipe.

It's coffee. It's dissolving some grinds in water.

Well done John and thanks for the link for the Stanley 48oz Press, I just ordered one,

I did extensive testing on Stanley flasks from ones that were 40 years old right up to the modern ones and the newer models from the last 10+ years are way better than the older Made in the US models, Sad but True,

But the most incredible Flasks on the planet are the New Stanley Master Series, I first saw one of these when a Guy on youtube parked his Landrover Defender on one so I bought one and tested the life out of it and after 122 hours or 5 days the water was still at 99*f not only that they are mega Tough, After 2 days the water was still hot enough to burn your mouth and at 3 days it was still to hot to put your hands in,

The Master series have double outer walls and double inner walls where as the Classic Green series are only single walled, Using it on a daily bases throughout the day the last cup was just as hot as the first which sounds weird because with all other flasks as you drink the contents throughout the day normally the last cup is cold but this does not happen with the master series Flasks,

Stanley make a whole range In the Master series I also bought the food flask version as well, So If you want the absolute best buy the Stanley master series,

Do ya self a favour and grab one of the Master Series and you will never have cold coffee again.

Thanks again for that link, (y)

Blasphemy!!!

LOL, I knew someone would say that or something like it. I love coffee, GOOD coffee! I make pour over every time I want a cup, camping or home. My point is that we have probably only begun with the myriad ways everyone thinks their coffee is best. I think the OP was mostly just craving a cup when this thread was started and she wanted someone to commiserate with. I can relate.

John that Stanley Coffee Press turned up today on the 29/6, It's a whopper, it's even fatter than the Stanley Classic 1.9L / 2Qt Flask, It was badly packed and got a couple of dents in the base but apart from that It's a keeper,

Thanks again Mate.

Aeropress with a stainless steel filter. The entire kit is light, compact, easy to clean, and produces espresso grade coffee. Paper filters are a pain in the ass, and there is too much that can go wrong with a french press. If you're less about espresso, and more about a basic coffee, buy a stainless steel pour over filter that drops into an ordinary coffee cup. I've been using the Aeropress to make coffee at home, on the road, and in the wilderness for over a decade. It's cheap and foolproof, and makes an awesome brew. Instant coffee is a crime against humanity.

Stanley make a nice compact Stainless press that you can Boil it up in and then just Press it and you can either drink out of it or pour it in to a Cup/Mug, Makes enough for 2 or 3 people,

wow now let's start talking brewing tea, herbal, iced, whatever.

I make up two litres of mango or peach smoothie at a time, keeps for days in my insulated growler. . .

Another vote for starbucks via. Prior to Covid I was traveling >100 days out of the year and they are hard to beat for packability. Packing a large container of ground coffee in your luggage is a good way to meet a drug sniffing dog in the airport, stick to single servings.
