Conqueror tent roof

Having looked at several pictures of Expo member's Conquerors, it seems that the Compacts have a different roof than the Conquests and even the newer versions of the Compact. In particular the new style has the shades over the side windows and (more importantly) extends over the edges. Can someone that has a Conquest confirm that the roof is integral to the tent or is it an additional layer/rain fly on the roof.

Thanks,
Jason

p.s. I have shamelessly pillaged these photos from the forum to illustrate the question (thanks Dendy and others):

Jason:
If I am understanding your question correctly, ... yes, the roof is integrated and does have the rubber impregnated panel built in (with a two inch- roughly- overhang)
There is the master canopy that you can deploy as well (we call it the circus tent) that on the Conquest is rip stop canvas, but on the Compacts is nylon.

We RARELY use the master canopy rather had installed a OzTent Foxwing over the kitchen area.

Thanks and hope that was the answer you seek.

Thanks Dendy,

Yes we have the circus tent but I was thinking of the rubberized roof panel on the tent. It seems that the newer units have the overhangs which would solve some of the dripping that we are experiencing inside during heavy rain. I am looking at ways to replace the panel with one that has the overhangs or add a rainfly of the same shape.

I believe that Howling Moon has a detachable rain fly for a roof top tent. Talk with Bundu Guy and see if you can just buy the rubber coated rain fly.
I am sure that would help your situation.
