Considering Buying a 2005 or 2006 Rubicon Unlimited...

I like my LJ platform

I have enough room in my LJ and some trails I go fishing/camping just aren't wide friendly as I get cascade pinstriping at times as it is..lol

So for me a Jk doesn't fit my needs..
But for those people who use their Jeep with four people a lot then the Jk is good 4-door. and especially with it costing more to own multiple vehicles, I would see a place for others to consider it..
But wait for a diesel or V8.. Or if they go cheap even the newer 4.0L V6.. I don't seriously think the 3.8 will last as the only engine option for more then three more years at best. so imo wait if you are wanting one..
unless you cant.:Astrologist:

How do you like those Cooper STT's? They look pretty new, how many miles on them in these photos?

Well, we got the Jeep! We bought the white one. It was a family vote, and that's the one that got the nod. Spent yesterday blowing the dust out of it and cleaning it up....so that we can get it properly dirty next weekend :)

Nice Jeep! First Jack now you. Despite your efforts to convince the masses that this is the wife's rig, my instincts say otherwise. ;)

Congrats on the purchase.

lol.. Nope that's at full compression on the right rear.. You forgot to look at the trees in the fore ground.. I had my left front on the rock and my sway bar still connected in front so I could make sure I bottomed out the right rear before hitting the body. I had 33x10.50's before so I had to check and "tune" my suspension set up to clear my new 35's nicely..
I want to also say congratulations "nwoods" on the the LJ Rubicon... Too you others out there, I really don't think his wife will be giving up that drivers seat.. It looks to be hers.
But being her husband you might ask politely...:)

just came across this thread so excuse the delay, but i would have opted for the white one myself. sounds to me like some thought went into the mod process.

imo, the other looks to "bling" for me, its a road queen. sounds like someone opened the enveloped marked, "youve been preappoved for a new visa".

congrats on the purchase! have fun out there! (<-cheap plug)
