Baby Shark went on it's first adventure.
Went for a drive and got a little carried away, ended up exploring Capitol Reef National Park.
Drove the Burr Trail and up the Switchbacks. Remembered what a difference tire pressure makes, 15psi is much smoother than 35psi.
12% grade, tight switchbacks, loose rocks and dirt was no problem in 1st gear.
Made it to the top of the switchbacks easily.
I have driven past the Upper Mulley Twist Canyon many times but never actually been down it. About 1/4 mile in there is a trail registry log book, it was fun signing it as a 95 Celica convertible, other entries were Jeeps, Tacomas and rental Explorers.
Initial gatekeeper descended down a steep washed out gully with 8-12" diameter rocks to navigate across, intimidating but relatively easy. Rest of the trail was fun and scenic. I did scratch up the sidewalls of my AT tires.
Made it to the end, hiked 1/5 mile out to the overlook. It was absolutely gorgeous.
