Especially if the 5.9 diesel engine they are referring to is a Gen 1 Cummins. Not mine

88 Iveco Cargo truck. 6500lbs payload. 5.9l Turbo diesel, auto. low miles 88k.
Neat truck with low miles. Just had full service, new tires, batteries, filters, etc. Recent windshield so no chips.
Box truck is fantastic condition for it's age. Pulls like a bull and is very easy to drive. Has short wheel base so it's easy in town but can still cruse on the highway.
Will consider trades for good condition class C RV/motorhome.
I except cash only. Please reply by email if interested.

Great find. Ad says the seller wants $6600.

88,000 miles on the odo. I wonder what this truck was used for for the past 25 years?

The 5.9 FIAT diesel is well-proven, reliable, and common to construction equipment. Parts are widely available. The transmission might be a Chrysler unit, not particularly great but serviceable.
The last IVECO's were sold here in 1990 and dealer support was discontinued at least 10 years ago. For everything else, you're probably on your own in North America. Brakes are probably a week point (good if they work, a pain in the butt if they don't).

Unique platform and fun to drive if you can maintain it.
