So while I was helping clear out some stuff in one of our storage areas I found this and quickly made the jump on it when they said it was going to the trash. It holds 4 cans and one spout (or as we in the Army call it a donkey di... nevermind). Well anywany I thought it was cool enough to share.

Nice container, but I think it's the wrong spout for the Scepter can.

Scepter Can Surprise #2

A standard old-style screw-in jerry can spout will also screw into a Scepter can's opening. It has the same inner diameter and threads as the steel US fuel cans, Blitz etc.

that is the issued spout for the can it slips inside the can and you expand it with the cam, and I must say it works very well my entire 5yrs in the military and have yet to see one leak as long as the rubber grommet is clean of sand

That's great. I had a picture in my mind of a cap with a huge tube coming out of it ?????

Is there some pictures for these in the thread that are magically not visible for me?

Everything I've seen new from Scepter is as you picture it and the surplus joint around have had the newer style of spout too, so I can only assume they were used in some fields of the military? It does seem that the military designed the can with the old spout in mind though, I've got an old cam lock spout that fits perfectly in the ID of the Scepters. I prefer the Scepter specific because of its long flexible spout, far more flexible than the older metal design.

That is a neat container. Looks like you could stack a few of them and move them with a forklift or pallet jack?

That's it. Sold as the Scepter non CARB spout, military grade.

Guess it was so military grade the military decided not to use it. :)

What's even funnier is this is one of the items the DOD brought suite against Scepter for selling to non military end users. Makes my head spin sometimes.
