Cool storage idea for JK

If you have a JK Unlimited then you know there is only so much room for storage, and for longer trips you really want to use that storage wisely. So I was thinking the rear window on the hard top is obviously a great place to store stuff if you could make it removable. But still, I would like to use every little bit of space possible...

So my idea is to have someone make the rear doors a storage place. Meaning, Have aftermarket doors made that are gutted with no windows and you could store stuff inside. Make it about 7 inches deep and that's a lot of room to store stuff. With about 3 or 4 shelfs you could put all kinds of stuff in there. The trick would be to make it so you can open it from the outside without opening the door but still be able to open the door to access the inside of the JK. Then once you open the door itself on the backside you could have like a mount for a fire extinguisher, or hooks, or other mount for like a shovel etc.

Anyways, Just an idea...

Do you have a hard top (works with the soft top too)? Then get a spiderweb shade and instal it under the top. You can store all kinds of soft goods up there between it and the top. Nice and out of the way.

Just a idea that will make you idea easier or a sales idea for someone. If you have a soft top you could build you shelf and attach 2 zippers to it. One zipper attaches to the soft top where the window would usually zip onto and the other zipper would have the door for your shelving zipped into it...if you know what i mean???
