Coolant flow direction

I am installing an electric radiator fan on my gen 2.5. I'm supposed to put the thermostat on the cold side tank. I think that is the bottom side, but wanted to confirm if any of you know. Thanks,

Every cooling system I've ever had the pleasure of working on drew coolant from the bottom of the radiator, into and through the engine, out past the thermostat and back to the radiator at the top.
With that said, assume the coolest coolant at the bottom of the radiator. ?‍
Hot on top,
cooler on bottom .
