Corkscrew Pass in a FWC - Hawk and a 2008 Toyota Tundra

I scared the you-know-what out of my wife on this road. The hot weather shut us out of our primary off roading destination of the White Rim Trail in Canyonlands NP. We (I) decided to try out the Engineer Pass-Cinnamon Pass loop in SW Colorado. Needless to say, we did not make it that far. I should have taken my wife on easier trails well before tackling something as steep and exposed as Corkscrew. It was not overly technical but that did not diminish the fear-factor for my only true one. The downhill angle was more impressive but alas, I did not have the camera rolling for that.

Does your wife like to walk/hike? I have a couple friends who's wives aren't keen on sidehill/technical or narrow exposed shelf roads and will just get out and walk the section. I know Corkscrew is steep up and long but could be an option on other trails.

That is Awesome! Looks like a fun time. Have you by chance been on Ophir Pass? I'm looking to see if I could get my FWC equiped rig through there without scaring me too much.

I have not been on Ophir Pass. This was my first real off road test of the truck/camper combo. The rig performed flawlessly. I am looking forward to the White Rim Trail in November.

Ophir is wide and easy you'd have no problems. Exposed with a steep drop to one side but nothing technical.
