Critique my van interior layout please!

I like the revision but I figured you had considered it already since it's a pretty popular one. If you haven't wandered through my VERY pic heavy rebuild of my old van, it's essentially what I ended up with. I LOVE it! It's a really great all around floor plan.

I have actually read thru your whole build thread and was very impressed. I have looked at so many builds and changed mine so much I didn't realize that I had went to a common layout that had already been used. Here I was thinking I had come up with something original. lol

Thanks! I think they've all been thought of and done a few times by now. Yours is a bit unique, with the fridge by the door instead of a cabinet there, and the access in the rear on the right. Build what works for you!

Thumbs up on the fridge by the door. I read you are using a two burner Coleman stove, I just wanted to give another vote for the idea of the single burner butane. While there are pros/cons of each, we've enjoyed our butane stove for seven seasons in and out of rigs.

If you have room for it, go with a Campchef stove/oven combo. We use the oven about as much as we use the stovetop. It's fantastic. We got ours at CostCo for $150, it's worked flawlessly for about three years now.

Pizza, brownies, biscuits, fish sticks, lasagna, keeping other food warm while cooking the rest of the meal on the stove top, whatever you can think of.

Thanks Thom!

I have greatly enjoyed reading your build and was inspired to get an AWD Chevy but couldn't find a decent one. I liked following along as y'all build up to a trailer and then shrunk down on what you carried. Great job on everything!

I went camping this weekend and noticed I only used one burner after reading what you posted. I will look into but an stoves more. I would like something that I can cook with inside the van when weather is poor but be easily transported outside to a picnic table or similar when it is nice out.

What butane stove do you recommend?

I will take a look at that as well. Thank you!
