Well an almost 10,000 mile a month long trip is complete.
This was by far the longest "road trip" I have ever been on with this car and most adventurous.

You guys were a big help in getting ready for a trip and planning.
I cant wait to go again hopefully next year, I'm addicted to this now, love the road and all the breath taking places it leads you to.

Feel free to check out my trips facebook page.
Maybe next one will be slightly off road :)

I remember your first post about the plan! Great to see you did the trip. I see lots of familiar sights from CA my home state. Those gunner pill boxes are pretty nutty. The big gun placements are even more wild. Actually walked across a Nike missile pad last weekend with the kids hiking on Angel Island in the middle of the SF Bay. Sounds like the G did great. I've done a few coastal trips with the wife in grandpas SLK350 you haven't played Trunk Tetris till you've packed 15 bottles of wine, few shopping items and then over night bags in a SLK350 and still have the top down option ;-) I'm getting pretty good at that. The G is massive in comparison ha ha!

Awesome trip! I had a 2004 G35 that I loved. It's a great grand touring car and tons of fun for eating miles. That looks like a great trip and an awesome route. Great photos too.

Let me know when you are getting close to Louisiana.... will take you to feed some gators.

Our encounter with Louisiana this trip was brief. We left my brother's place in Dallas and entire time to FL were chased by the storm. We attempted to stay ahead of it for the entire drive. We were going to stop by in New Orleans, but once we got there storm started dumping buckets of rain. So we just passed it.

Wife and I are talking about taking a road trip to Costa Rica next year, but I think it's too early for international road tripping for us. We might get a Jeep, strap out mt bikes to it and hit the country one more time with a little more offroad this time.
