if you end up coming down through colorado. you might look at taking highway 13 off of i80 to drop down to i70. let me know if you do there are lots of good campsites along highway 13

Put in a trans temp gauge if your loaded with all that stuff. If you start up a mountain and you get to hot drop it in 3rd/drive and that should keep you going. Change your fluids, stop and see the sights and smell the roses, don't add up how much you spent on gas. Just takes away from the great memory.

If you make it to Ouray Colorado got to the glenwood hot springs. It is clothing optional, bout 30% wear cloths, but a great stop for a first shower. You can get a massage and soak in the hot springs to stretch your muscles.
