Key in my view is whether or not Jeep wants to continue the Wrangler's strong off road pedigree in any model re-design.
If yes, then I don't care whether or not they go IFS. As long as their goal is to make a vehicle with excellent off road capability and durability, I am confident that Jeep can deliver this with IFS.
My guess is that Jeep does not want to piss away its hard earned reputation with the Wrangler.
