Curved/Bowed Roof rack suggestions

I have a 2011 Subaru Outback with the factor roof racks. The cross bars when in posiition are very slightly curved. It makes putting a Princess-Auto (Canadian Harbour frieght style store) roof rack on kind of sketchy.

Looking for creative solutions to flatten it out.

I was going to take 2x2's and shave a curve out of them to match the curve of the racks.

Better ideas?

just mount the rack from the out side parts, and space them up so the center doesnt touch (if that makes sense)

That makes good sense. I'll carve some slots out of hockey pucks or something. I'm in canada. Damn things are everywhere!
