Black Series HQ21
This is likely the most heavily improved/modified and best sorted HQ21's you can find for sale. With the below upgrades have been done it is equal or superior to stock caravans 2-3x times the cost.
Here is a list of the upgrades/mods:
-Vixen Air Bag Suspension (think about not having to use blocks to get level), compressor, tank and pump
-Upgraded Blistein Shocks
-Victron Multiplus 3000 w/ Progressive Industries protection. Able to run all systems including the A/C for up to 5 hours with no sun.
-925W Renogy Rooftop Solar
-Battleborn LiFPO4 battery bank, 400ah
-Victron Smart Solar 150/70 Controll for rooftop
-Victron Smart Solar 100/20 for suitcase solar
-Victron Orion-Tr Smart 12/12-30 Isolated DC/DC Charger
-2-Victron Lynx distributors 1000DC
-Victron Smart Shunt Battery Monitor
-Victron Battery Protect
-Upgraded wire/cabling throughout for batteries, inverter, solar.

Over 12K of aftermarket upgrades with Offroad bumpers, 12K winch, Fuel offroad wheels, suspension 35” BFG, Yakima expedition adjustable rack, Retrax retractable cover, Anderson Plug for DC/DC charger. She handles the trailer very well, and you will see improved towing MPG of 25-30% over most any other tow vehicle (12-14MPG HWY). Price: 62k

As many know there are many complaints about Black Series quality control issues, this has not been my experience and their customer service has been easy to deal with. The reality is that it is the best value for a true off-road trailer platform on the US market, they unfortunately cut a lot of costs for crucial items with cheap/low quality items that are not the durability one would want for a true off-grid caravan. To have only a portion of the major systems outlined here installed on a Black Series it would cost you over 25k on a new 2024 Black Series. This is based on their new pricing for all of the upgrades you can order/upgrade on a new 2024 trailer. (Based on BS history I highly doubt the upgrades will of the brand name quality you will outlined here), see attached photo showing the BS 2024 options pricing also keeping in mind the sticker on the 2024 units will also be significantly higher. Cost to retrofit an older trailer would cost you significantly more due to the extensive labor involved. I am the original owner, and she is stored in a heated garage year-round.
Reason for selling: My family has purchased a 2nd home on coast of Maine and is now spending most of its time “boat camping” these days. We are moving to a different direction and will be purchasing a sprinter that we can better utilize during ski season and have room to park it at our other home that will not accommodate a truck and trailer.
