Custom fuel tank?

Has anybody had a custom fuel tank made? I am looking to get a custom fuel tank made for my jeep. I want to get rid of my small 12 gal/45 liter back tank or turn it into a back-up.
What kind of prices should I expect for custom tank?

I've never had one made, but its done all the time in the marine industry using 5051 aluminum. I'd look up "custom marine fuel tank" on the googles and have at. It won't be cheap, but unless you own a TIG welder and know how to use it, your options are limited.

You can always build one yourself out of steel. I've built them with no problems just be sure to have them lined so there is no chance of seepage through pin holes. Any fab shop should be able to help you out. Since you are looking for a Jeep you might be able to buy one that is specific to your vehicle, there are lots of after market parts for popular rigs! Before making a "custom" tank, look around as there are a some aftermarket tanks already, depending on what model Jeep you have. Aerotank lists some options for older Jeeps, and other threads have discussed tank options for newer Jeeps.
