Nice work!

I'm really intrigued by the 1800 lb weight, considering that you used steel frame and sides and a fully outfitted wooden interior. As you said, that's lighter than many full size slide-in campers that use other materials. Tell us more about the thickness of the steel used in the frame and siding. What's your plan for rustproofing the exterior?

jezuz. if youre that worried, dont go,

Meh - if he feels better, it's better. I feel better sleeping with my sawed-off shotgun when I tent camp (I live in Alaska) yet in in the last 35-40 years (since I was a youngin') I've never seen a bear except when visiting Denali Park or McNeil River Falls - but they are around leaving piles of poop and tracks many places.

If a steel box works to your needs then it's good :camping:

1800 does seem pretty light since that DOES have a kitchen sink, lol. Plus the Rhino-Lining is not light either. Do you have a "loaded for travel weight" or a weight derived from the truck with it on and off?

Nice work man! Really an inspiration for me to just start building one of my own :D

I looked into rhino lining my truck once. Can't remember all the math, but I remember it added up to about 300lbs of material. The stuff is heavy.
