never saw one that someone fashioned themselves, but just curious if anyone has fab'd one and has a pic.

not really looking to make one myself, just wondering and was curious.

you can buy all the stuff to build your own electic box using the Danfoss compressor. Advantage is to be able to shape the box as required...
you can use that box with ice as well if you don´t want to use electicity

Soenke,

Please post a link to where I can get what I need to build my own. Are there plans/instructions available?

Thank You

Im with you on this. If I were to design one it it be stainless steel with strait non- drafted walls, square corners with anchor attachment points for starters

i have made my own that keeps ice in 100*F temps for 5 days.

with that success i will be building a new one into the floor of my rig when i am ready to remove permanently my rear seat. soon.

for the built in i plan to run electric to it so i dont have to use ice if i choose not to. i bought and dissembled a dorm room type fridge that i plan to use, with a converter.

Can you put a DC Danfoss compressor in a AC fridge.

The idea, I buy a nice 4 cu ft AC fridge for $250 then I install the Danfoss for $400(?), I would then have a new dc fridge for $650.

building it your self will not save money, it is to meet the demands of unusual shape and seize....
